“A jewel” is one way to describe Barbara’s home. “Exquisite” is another. This little cottage is just so beautiful - tastefully decorated, it’s an oasis of calm. I loved the bedroom, with its inviting bed and sparkling white linens. In the morning, I sat in the rock-lined garden, a bubbling fountain within earshot and birds of paradise for shade. The kitchen has everything I needed. Just lovely. I hope to be back.”

“Just returned home from a two month stay in Barbara and Sol’s beautiful cottage retreat in Ojai. Everything was far greater than expected from the moment I stepped in the door. The cottage was very comfortable and was well stocked, in perfect order and immaculate in every way. The home was well located in Ojai, a short walk to the down town area and across the street form a well maintained beautiful community park.
Barbara and Sol were very accommodating, staying in touch and letting me know about many events and attractions in town. I hope to return next year for another wonderful experience in Ojai.

“We had such a great experience....”
We rented this beautiful cottage last weekend. Everything is conveniently located within walking distance of this place! Laura and Barbara were very accommodating, flexible and hospitable during our entire stay. It was a little warm during our visit but the AC functioned beautifully keeping my pregnant wife comfortable. In the evenings it was really nice to hang out in the back courtyard near the fountain. In the daytime we loved lounging in the living room area where the couches were very comfortable. The manager's had beverages waiting for us in the fridge upon our arrival and had a nice local guide for recommended restaurants and activities to do. Any time we wanted to get some food or go out we just opened the guide and found what locals like to do in Ojai. We had such a great experience and hope to return soon with the baby! (5 Stars)

Best Airbnb I've ever stayed in. Barbara is an amazing attentive host. Actually, that doesn't even do her justice. She was very invested and committed to making sure I was comfortable, had everything I needed, and felt safe. She is highly committed to cleanliness. The unit is absolutely beautiful including the extensive patio area. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on. I loved cooking in the kitchen which has everything you could possibly need and more for meal preparation. She has gone to great lengths to prepare a lovely, clean, safe and enjoyable environment. “Location is great.”
The home was lovely and was a great space for a long weekend away. The house is bright and sunny, with a full kitchen which we used to make dinner at home and enjoy at the outdoor table. The rooms and beds were comfortable, and we slept well. Barbara made us feel very welcome, and provided plenty of tips for local eateries and activities. Location is great. One block off the main downtown area, so walking for coffee or groceries was a breeze :) Would love to go back!

We stayed in the cottage to celebrate my 50th Birthday and it was one of the best homes we've rented through VRBO. The home was very comfortable with beautiful furnishings and a really nice garden in the backyard. There is a park across the street and you're only a block away from the downtown shops and restaurant. I played Golf at both Ojai Valley Inn and Soule Park and it is less than 5 minutes away from the home. Lots of places within walking distance and a great coffee shop I walked to every morning. Very pleased overall with our stay. (5 Stars out of 5)

“The Cottage did not disappoint...exactly as described...”
My old roommate and I came to the Ojai Cottage for a catch-up/girlfriend weekend; it was the first time for both of us in Ojai. The cottage did not disappoint--it was exactly as described and the location was perfect for walking into town. Barbara the owner, and Laura, the property manager do a wonderful job of decorating/maintaining the home. Quality linens and towels, comfortable beds, ample dishware and glasses abound. We appreciated having cold Pellegrino waiting for us in the fridge upon our arrival and nice-smelling, natural dish, hand, and body soap--thank you for the attention to detail. We really enjoyed reading Barbara's thoughtful in-town recommendations (we walked the trail to the Ojai Valley Inn and Spa and the beautiful hiking trail at the end of Signal). We also thoroughly enjoyed the wicker sofas we lounged in in the front room--perfect for all our chats, with a nice view of the trees and park. I had to do some work and brought my laptop out to the backyard dining area often, which, amid the tranquil water fountain and shade, was a very comfortable place to work. Thank you, Laura and Barbara, for providing such a clean and welcoming home. My friend is not from the area but I will definitely be back! (5 Stars out of 5)
